If you’re an experienced off-track walker with specialist equipment and well-developed navigational skills, then the walk to this remote camp site is for you.

Enjoy the physically demanding climb to this camp site on a saddle between Spicers and Cuthbertson peaks. Walk through open forests, bisected by a series of east-west cliff lines, to the prominent summit of Spicers Peak (1170m). From here it’s downhill, through lush rainforest to the escarpment on the southern side of the peak, and onto the saddle.

Set up camp surrounded by tall New England blackbutt and gnarled grasstrees.

This park is part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area, famed for its ongoing geological processes, evolutionary history, and diversity (especially of rare, threatened and endemic species).
