Mount Mitchell track in the Cunninghams Gap section of Main Range National Park has been temporarily realigned while scheduled roadworks on the highway are completed.
The track can be accessed from the western side of the Crest carpark via a temporary pedestrian crossing.
During construction, there is a temporary reduction in the number of carparking spaces at The Crest. Overflow parking is available at the West Gap Creek picnic area, approximately 1.6km walk along the Cunningham Highway or 2.5km via the Box Forest track.
Road conditions and roadworks signage may vary depending on the stage of construction, and visitors are asked to follow all instructions and drive safely to road conditions.

For your safety please slow down and observe all directions and signs.
Please observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers and do not enter closed areas.
