Kids ‘go wild’ to learn and grow in nature in fun-filled holiday programs.
The Gateway Visitor Centres of David Fleay Wildlife Park and Walkabout Creek Discovery Centre offer seasonal holiday programs during Queensland school holidays—4 times a year (Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring).
Each program is packed with lots of fun nature-based activities about conservation and wildlife to help keep kids active and engaged during the school holidays.
The Spring holiday program includes:
David Fleay Wildlife Park
- Junior Rangers (Helpers): 5–7 years, 18th and 27th September 9:30–11:00am
- Junior Rangers (Waterway Warriors): 5–7 years, 20th and 29th September 9:30–11:00am
- Junior Rangers (Protectors): 8–12 years, 19th and 28th September 9:30–11:30am
- Junior Rangers (Habitats at home): 8–12 years, 21st and 25th September 9:30–11:30am
- Junior Rangers (Animal Carers): 12–14 years, 22nd and 26th September 9:30–11:30am
- VIP Ranger Guided Tour: 18th, 20th, 22nd, 26th and 28th 12:00–1:30pm
- VIP Threatened Species Trail: 19th, 21st, 25th, 27th and 29th 12:00–1:30pm

- Joey Rangers (Children 4 years and under with carer) Tuesday 12th September
- Junior Rangers ( Insect Investigators): 5—8 years, Thursday 28th September 9:30-11:00am
- Junior Rangers (Helper): 5—8 years, Thursday 21st September, 9:30-11am
- Nature by Night (family event): 6+ years, Tuesdays 19th and 26th September 6:00-8:00pm
- Junior Ranger: (Nature Scavenger) 8—10 years, Wednesday 20th September 9:30-11:30am
- Junior Ranger (Habitat Restorers): 8—10years, Wednesday 27th September 9:30-11:30am
- Wildlife Discovery Show: 10:00am and 1:30pm Mondays and Fridays
