Starting from the Alligator Creek day-use area follow the concrete path to a wheelchair-accessible boardwalk and meander through shady riparian forest to the bank of Alligator Creek.

Discrete nooks along the boardwalk offer a place to sit quietly. The sheltered riparian forest attracts a variety of animals to drink and bathe. Fantails, flycatchers and other birds feed upon the abundant insects living along the creek. You may spot a turtle sunning itself atop a rock or a noisy pitta on the forest floor in this shady waterside retreat.

From the bank of Alligator Creek take a refreshing dip with the jungle perch in the cool clear mountain water.

Important information: During and after rain, creek conditions can change and become very dangerous. Fast flowing, rapidly rising water can occur. To stay safe, do not enter the water. Please take note of all safety advice.
