Mount Cleveland remote bush camp
Remote bush camping is available to experienced and well-equipped bushwalkers who wish to undertake extended overnight hikes in the Mount Cleveland section of the park.

The rocky coastal landscape of Mount Cleveland offers the opportunity for remote hiking and remote bush camping. Only experienced, well-equipped bushwalkers with good navigation, first-aid skills and emergency location equipment should undertake extended overnight hikes in this section of the national park.
Number of sites: non-specific remote hiking site. Camp site must be at least 1km from other camping areas. Your hiking group should have at least 2 people, maximum group size is 6.
Facilities: none.
Camp fires: prohibited. Bring a fuel or gas stove.
Generators: not permitted.
Essentials to bring: campers must be completely self-sufficient, carry food and water, a fuel stove, navigation and communication equipment and a first-aid kit. Read more about remote hiking and visiting safely.

Seasonal closures
Remote bush camping at Mount Cleveland is only available from 1 April to 30 November (inclusive). Remote bush camping may be closed at other times due to extreme weather conditions and park management activities. Check Parks Alerts on this webpage.
