Features: nestled in the foredunes with easy access to the beach.
Location: 32km east of Water Park Creek and approximately 6km south of Nine Mile Access Track.
Access: Nine Mile Beach can be accessed by 4WDs with high clearance or boat. Nine Mile Beach is accessible for off-road camper trailers, track and weather conditions permitting. Read about road and track conditions. Access tracks from the beach to camping areas are marked by name and a camping and vehicle access symbol.
Number of sites: four defined open camping areas without separately defined sites. Myrtella (maximum 24 people), Melaleuca (maximum 18 people), Pandanus (maximum 12 people), Casuarina (maximum 18 people).
Camping areas are suitable for: tent camping beside your 4WD; off-road camper trailers. Note there is no guarantee that a suitable location will be available for off-road camper trailers as these areas are first-in, first-choice.
Camp site surface: grass/sand.
Facilities: none. The nearest facilities are at Five Rocks camping area in Byfield Conservation Park.
Open fires: camp fires are allowed with strict conditions (BYO fire containers, must be enclosed and off the ground) except when fire bans apply—read take care with fire. Gas or fuel stoves are recommended.
Generators: allowed. Generators may be operated only between 8am and 7pm providing they have a sound rating of 65 decibels (2.0Kva) or less.
Essentials to bring: insect repellent, sunscreen, first-aid kit, sturdy rubbish bags, drinking water and sufficient fuel for your vehicle. Read more about before you visit. Portable chemical toilets are recommended.
