Getting there and getting around

Witts lookout walking track is in the Mount Spec section of Paluma Range National Park and is accessed from McClellands lookout day-use area.

From Barrett Road, turn onto Mount Spec Road and drive 17km. Turn right off Mount Spec Road onto Loop Road (where signposted), just east of the Paluma township, and park at the McClellands lookout day-use area.

From the car park, a walking track leads you to McClellands lookout, and 200m past the lookout is the start of the track that leads to both Witts lookout and the Cloudy Creek walking track. When you reach the signposted junction take the right-hand-route to Witts lookout. From here the track climbs steeply through open forest before finishing at lookouts on 2 rocky outcrops. Return along the same track.
