Walk through rainforest. At the end of the track, there is a series of small waterfalls and a natural viewing point. Some sections of this walk are steep with many steps and boulder hopping. The last part of the walk includes about 200 steps.

Getting there and getting around

Cloudy Creek walking track is in the Mount Spec section of Paluma Range National Park and is accessed from McClellands lookout day-use area.

From Barrett Road, turn onto Mount Spec Road and drive 17km. Turn right off Mount Spec Road onto Loop Road (where signposted), just east of the Paluma township, and park at the McClellands lookout day-use area.

From the car park, a walking track leads you to McClellands lookout, and 200m past the lookout is the start of the track that leads to both Witts lookout and the Cloudy Creek walking track. When you reach the signposted junction, follow the track to the left through the rainforest to Cloudy Creek.

Cloudy Creek walking track is not wheelchair-accessible.

Opening hours

Cloudy Creek walking track is open 24 hours a day. Access may be restricted during wet weather when creeks rise in the Mount Spec area and fallen trees or landslides occur along Mount Spec Road.
