With its peaceful forests, short walks, swimming holes and birdlife, Broadwater is a great destination for a day trip. Pack a picnic or use one of the free gas barbecues and enjoy lunch under the shelter or in the shade. The large open space makes Broadwater a popular choice for group gatherings and school excursions.
Birdwatchers will enjoy the action—brush turkeys are common visitors along with orange-footed scrubfowl, blue-winged kookaburras and forest kingfishers. Walk off your lunch with an easy stroll on the Rainforest or Creek walks then cool off in waterholes along Broadwater Creek.
