Mount French vehicle-based camping area

Mount French vehicle-based camping area is close to all walking tracks, toilets and day-use area and is accessible by conventional vehicle and camper vans only—caravans and camper trailers are not suitable.

Two vehicle-based camp sites are located next to the Mount French section car park. Please refer to Mount French and Frog Buttress camping area map (PDF, 1,008.1KB) .

Book sites well in advance for Easter, June/July and September holiday periods.

Location: Adjacent to Mount French car park.
Access: By conventional vehicle and camper vans only—unsuitable for caravans and camper trailers.
Number of sites: 2 sites (separate but not numbered).
Camp sites are suitable for: vehicle-camping and camper vans.
Camp site surface: Gravel.
Facilities: None at camp site. Facilities are close by in the day-use area and have flushing toilets, picnic tables and gas barbecues.
Open fires: Prohibited. Fuel stoves are recommended.
Generators: Not allowed.
Essentials to bring: Drinking water, rubbish bags, insect repellent, fuel stove and sunscreen. Read more about before you visit.
