Camping in Moogerah Peaks

Frog Buttress camping area, which includes car camp sites, is the only camping area in Moogerah Peaks National Park. Named after the northern-facing cliff line by rock climbers in the early 1970s, this camping area is normally occupied by the rock climbing community from Easter till late October each year. Alternative campgrounds or accommodation are available nearby.

The hotter months are not recommended as the mountain can reach up to 40°C during the day.

There is a vehicle-based camping area located next to the Mount French car park. This camp area is for vehicle-based camping only.

Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your camp site.
