Extensive stands of mangroves, saltmarshes and unvegetated claypans along estuary; seagrass beds; undercut banks; sandy beaches.
Recreational, Indigenous and commercial;fishing; barramundi, blue salmon, bream, estuary cod, flathead, grey mackerel, grunter, mangrove jack, queenfish, sea mullet, school mackerel, tiger prawns, banana prawns, blue legged king prawns.
