Camping area features: shady areas beside waterholes along the Paroo River, where you can go swimming, fishing, canoeing, birdwatching and bushwalking.

Location: approximately 40km north east from the ranger station.

Access: the camping area can be reached by 4WD vehicle, off-road camper trailers, off-road caravans and small off-road motorhomes and buses in dry weather only.

Number of sites: open areas without separately defined sites.

Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car; walk-in camping; off-road camper trailers; off-road caravans, small off-road motorhomes.

Camp site surface: sand, dirt.

Facilities: none.

Open fires: allowed (except when fire bans apply) but fuel stoves recommended.

Generator use: prohibited.

Essentials to bring: drinking water—at least seven litres of water per person, per day for drinking, cooking and washing. Local water is NOT suitable for drinking. Bring rubbish bags, and take all recyclables and rubbish with you when you leave. Bins are not provided. Bring your own untreated, clean mill off-cuts for firewood, or preferably bring a fuel or gas stove for cooking.

It is advisable to contact the Department of Transport and Main Roads or phone 13 19 40 for road conditions and the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) for weather conditions one week prior to travelling.
