Camping area features: shady areas beside a semi-permanent waterhole in the heart of Currawinya National Park, where you can relax birdwatch and bushwalk.
Location: approximately 51km north-west from the ranger station.

Access: the camping area can be reached by 4WD vehicle and off-road camper trailers in dry weather only.
Number of sites: unnumbered areas with separately defined sites.
Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car; off-road camper trailers.
Camp site surface: sand, dirt.
Open fires: allowed (except when fire bans apply) but fuel stoves recommended.
Generator use: prohibited.
Essentials to bring: drinking water—at least seven litres of water per person, per day for drinking, cooking and washing. Local water is NOT suitable for drinking. Bring rubbish bags, and take all recyclables and rubbish with you when you leave. Bins are not provided. Bring your own untreated, clean mill off-cuts for firewood, or preferably bring a fuel or gas stove for cooking.
