This alert applies to the following park:
- Tamborine National ParkBrisbane; Gold Coast
As a result of severe storm damage, Cedar Creek section of Tamborine National Park remains closed until declared safe.
The storm caused damage to facilities and hazardous trees making the area unsafe for public access.
QPWS Rangers are managing the situation and have damage repair activities in progress.
Commercial tour operators and other permit or agreement holders are not permitted to enter closed areas.
Queensland Police and QPWS Rangers are actively patrolling the closure for compliance to ensure public safety.
Please observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers and do not enter closed areas.
