Mazeppa National Park conserves 4130ha of gidgee scrub interspersed with brigalow scrub and open eucalypt woodland. The park’s vegetation is a remnant of a once widespread vegetation type that has been extensively cleared in the surrounding area. Other plant species found in this community include sandalwood and blackcurrant bush.
Surrounded by freehold or leasehold properties, the park provides a refuge for a variety of wildlife including finches, the vulnerable squatter pigeon and koala.
