Camping on the Sunshine Coast Great Walk

Enjoy camping under the forest canopy at one of three walkers' camps.

There are three secluded walkers' camps along the Great Walk track:

• Flaxton walkers’ camp
• Ubajee walkers’ camp
• Thilba Thalba walkers’ camp.

Camp sites at these camps are designed for small bushwalking tents. There are isolated sites for those who desire a natural bush experience and some sites immediately adjacent to each other for those in small groups or who like socialising with other walkers.

Each walkers' camp has platform seats, untreated drinking water and a toilet. Bins are not provided—all rubbish must be carried out. Open fires are not permitted (penalties apply).

You can stay for a maximum of one night at each walkers’ camp. Numbers are limited at each walkers’ camp. This helps to sustain the camp sites and gives you a natural Great Walk bush camping experience.

• Camping permits are required and fees apply.
• A tag with your booking number must be displayed at your camp site.
• A maximum group size of two people per camp site is recommended.
• Large groups are limited to 16 people at each walkers’ camp—including school groups. Check camp site availability before booking a group.
