This alert applies to the following parks:

- Cooloola Recreation Area, Great Sandy National ParkSunshine Coast
QPWS Rangers and contractors will be conducting a feral animal control program from 13 May through to 16 May 2024 within the Teewah Beach and Freshwater camping areas. Firearms, poisons or traps may be in use.
For visitor safety, Teewah Beach and Freshwater camping areas will be temporarily closed from 11:00am on Monday 13 May and will reopen at 2:00pm Thursday 16 May 2024.
For visitors with camping permits for closed sites, you will need to modify or cancel your booking and apply for a refund via your online account at www.qld.gov.au/camping
Commercial tour operators and other permit or agreement holders are not permitted to enter closed areas.
Please observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers and do not enter closed areas.
