This alert applies to the following park:
- Lamington National ParkBrisbane; Gold Coast
Due to significant fallen trees and landslide which is obstructing the track and impeding safe visitor access, the West Canungra Creek circuit in the Green Mountains section of Lamington National Park is only partially open in a clockwise direction to Yerralahla Pool (Blue Pool). Walkers must return the same way.
As a result, the West Canungra Creek circuit remains partially closed until declared safe.
- Access to Yerralahla Pool (Blue Pool) is open in a clockwise direction only. Walkers must return the same way.
- The remainder of the West Canungra Creek circuit remains temporarily closed until the track is declared safe for visitors.
Other walking track closures for Lamington National Park include:
- The Morans Falls track in Green Mountains section (Park alert: Temporary track closure - Morans Falls track (des.qld.gov.au); and
- The Lower Bellbird track in Binna Burra section (Park alert: Temporary walking track closure - Lower Bellbird track (des.qld.gov.au)
All other walking tracks within Lamington National Park remain open for visitor access (except for those listed herein and identified in separate Park Alerts).
Observe all signage, barriers, and directions from rangers, and do not enter the closed area.
Commercial tour operators and other permit or agreement holders are not permitted to enter closed areas.
