This alert applies to the following parks:

The Ngaro track is a new premium hiking experience under construction in the Whitsundays. Track, camp site and associated hiker infrastructure construction will continue until late 2024. During this time barges, heli-lift activities and heavy plant machinery may be present at track access points at Tongue, Chance and Torres Herald Bays and other remote Whitsunday Island locations. Temporary restrictions to access will be enforced to allow the safe transit and storage of materials and equipment. Please observe all signs, barriers and directions provided by rangers and construction workers. No unauthorised persons, including commercial tour operators and other permit or agreement holders, are permitted to enter closed areas.
