Wongi Waterholes camping area features camping amongst the eucalypt forest near the edges of the Wongi waterholes. Simply relax by the waterholes observing the abundant wildlife.

Features: camp amongst the eucalypt forest near the edges of the Wongi waterholes. Simply relax by the waterholes observing the abundant wildlife. Enjoy an easy walk on the trail along the waters edge, or go canoeing on the tranquil waters.

Location: turn off Warrah Road onto Access Road and follow directional signage to the camping or day-use area. Parking is available next to your camp site or at the day-use area.

Access: the camping area can be reached by conventional vehicle in dry weather conditions. It is accessible for trailers; caravans; buses; motor homes.

Caution: the access roads can be severely corrugated.

Number of sites: open area without separately defined sites. Maximum of 100 people at the site.

Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car; caravans; camper trailers; motor homes; large groups.

Camp site surface: bare earth.

Facilities: flushing toilets, cold showers and picnic tables provided. A small amount of tank water (unsuitable for drinking) is provided.

Open fires: prohibited. Fuel or gas stoves are recommended.

Generator use: allowed. Only generators that operate at or below 65dB(A) are allowed. Generators may be operated between 9am and 8pm only and owner must be present at the site when generator is in use.

Essentials to bring: drinking water, rubbish bags, insect repellent.

Mobile phone coverage: is not reliable in Wongi State Forest. The nearest reliable mobile phone reception is at the junction of Warrah Road and Warrah Top Road.
