The state forest caters for a wide range of visitors with trails for walkers, trail runners and mountain bike riders, and a shared track for trail bikes and mountain bikes. Visitors can explore an undulating hilly environment with open eucalypt woodlands and forests.

Vernon State Forest is located on the Fraser Coast near Hervey Bay and approximately 290km north of Brisbane in Queensland, Australia.
