Camping in Thrushton National Park

Bush camping is allowed in Thrushton National Park. Visitors must be self-sufficient. Take a first-aid-kit, vehicle spare parts and extra supplies of drinking water, food and fuel. Take your rubbish from the park when you leave. Bring at least 7 litres of water per person per day for cooking, drinking and washing.

Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag must be displayed at your camp site.

Camping area features: bush camping beside the old Thrushton Homestead.

Location: Thrushton Homestead is 3km from the park entrance.

Access: the camping area can be reached by 4WD (only). It is accessible for high clearance off-road camper trailers in dry weather only.

Number of sites: open area without separately defined sites.

Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car; walk-in camping; high clearance off-road camper trailers.

Camp site surface: dirt.

Facilities: none.

Open fires: prohibited. Fuel stoves are recommended.

Generators: prohibited.

Thrushton Woolshed bush camping area

Camping area features: bush camping beside the old Thrushton Woolshed.

Location: Thrushton Woolshed is a further 2km past Thrushton Homestead and 5km from the park entrance.
