The 47km Scenic Rim Trail has three walkers camps. The camps are described here in north to south order—the order in which you must stay.
Mount Mistake SRT walkers camp
Camping area features: Small open area in grassy open forest site on plateau west of Mount Mistake.
Location: 9km south of Scenic Rim Trail trailhead. Map Sheet: Thornton 9342-24. Grid Reference: -27.8743512°S, 152.3117552°E. GPS Reference: UTM 56J 432250 6916528
Access: On foot (only).
Camp sites are suitable for: Self-sufficient, walk-in camping.
Camp site surface: Grass and dirt.
Facilities: Toilets (non flush) and small water tank. Water supply depends on the season and is not reliable; please use water sparingly and always treat and filter before drinking. All rubbish (including food scraps) must be carried out. BYO toilet paper.
Fires: Open fires are prohibited. Use fuel stoves only.
Mobile phone coverage: Unreliable.
Castle View SRT walkers camp
Camping area features: Grassy, open forest site with views to the east and rainforest to the west. (Camp only in the defined camping area—management vehicles regularly use the adjacent track).

Banshee SRT walkers camp
Camping area features: Thickly forested site surrounded by rainforest. No views.

Access: On foot (only).
Camp sites are suitable for: Self-sufficient, walk-in camping.
Camp site surface: This camp site has 4 elevated 3m x 3m camping platforms above leaf litter and pine needles. Bring extra string to tie tents down to platforms.
Facilities: Toilets (non flush) and small water tank. Water supply depends on the season and is not reliable; please use water sparingly and always treat and filter before drinking. All rubbish (including food scraps) must be carried out. BYO toilet paper.
Fires: Open fires are prohibited. Use fuel stoves only.
Generators: Not permitted.
