Changes to camping bookings

On-site self-registration is no longer available. Campers must obtain an e-camping permit and pay their camping fees before arriving at the camping area. Book your camp site:

A camping area is located at Big Crystal Creek. Remote bush camping is available for experienced bushwalkers.

Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your camp site.

Campground hosts needed!

The department is seeking volunteers to work as campground hosts at Big Crystal Creek camping area, Paluma Range National Park. Volunteers camp free in return for helping maintain the camping area facilities.

Volunteers are required to work a minimum of two hours per day, six days a week cleaning facilities and removing rubbish. The duration will be 1–2 weeks. You will need to enjoy camping and the environment, be self-sufficient and equipped to camp in all weather conditions (including high rainfall).
