Pioneer Bay camping area is remote, island bush camping and can be reached by boat only.

Camping area features: remote, island bush camping.

Location: on the western side of the island, between Cattle Bay and the Orpheus Island Resort.

Access: the camping area can be reached by boat only. There is a ‘no anchoring‘ area offshore from the camping area but public moorings are available and anchoring in sand adjacent to the beach is permitted.

Number of sites: open area without separately defined sites. Maximum of 12 people.

Campsites are suitable for: tent camping.

Campsite surface: sand and grass.

Facilities: composting toilet and picnic table.

Open fires: prohibited. Fuel stoves are recommended.

Generators: not allowed.
