Newry Islands National Park Mackay

Camping in Newry Islands

The Newry Islands provide a range of camping opportunities including sites with limited facilities such as pit toilets, shelter and picnic tables. Camper numbers are limited to ensure a quality experience for all visitors. Some camping areas accommodate multiple group bookings while others allow for a single group booking only.

Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your camp site.

Our precious Great Barrier Reef World Heritage islands are among the most pest-free islands in the world. They need your help to stay this way. Please Be pest-free! (PDF, 573.6KB) before your visit.

Park-specific conditions
