    Walking

    Scrubby Creek Circuit

    Grade 2

    Distance: 1km circuit
    Time: Allow 30mins
    Details: meandering along Scrubby Creek this track lets you explore the hoop pine vineforest and takes you past giant figs. Listen out for the “whip crack” call from the male eastern whip bird and the female’s “choo choo” response.

    Picnic and day-use areas

    Enjoy a rest beside QPWS Scrubby Creek day-use area. Wheelchair-accessible picnic tables are provided in this section of the park.

    Continue your scenic drive from Scrubby Creek to Mudlo Gap for panoramic views over the surrounding grazing land and forests. Picnic tables, a picnic shelter, toilets and a barbecue are provided at the Gap by Gympie Regional Council.

    Viewing wildlife

    Mudlo is a great place to view whiptail wallabies and brush-turkeys on your walk and listen for wonga pigeons.
