Mouth of Kolan River camping area

Mouth of Kolan River camping area features bush camping behind the foredunes, just a short walk to the water and beach. Small boats can be moored next to individual campsites.

Camping area features: Bush camping behind the fore dunes, just a short walk to the water and beach. Small boats can be moored next to individual camp sites.

Location: at the northern end of the park on the south-western side of the peninsula.

Access: can only be reached by boat. A 3km trip downstream from the Miara boat ramp. The best time for access is during high tide. It is not accessible by vehicle.

Number of sites: a small number of sites are provided (separate but not numbered).

Campsites are suitable for: tent camping.

Campsite surface: sand.

Facilities: none.

Open fires: prohibited.

Generators: not permitted.

Essentials to bring: drinking water, rubbish containers, insect repellent, sunscreen, protective clothing, food, fuel, first-aid kit and (if needed) medical supplies. Read more about before you visit.

Bookings: book online, over-the-counter. Bookings during school holidays can be made up to three months in advance.
