Camping in Lochern

Relax in the shade of the coolibah trees at Broadwater Waterhole camping area. A variety of birds will greet you each morning.

Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your camp site.

Park-specific conditions

  • Be alert and prepared for changes in weather. Even small amounts of rain on the park or in surrounding areas can cause floods at any time of year. If heavy rain or minor flooding occurs, move to higher ground.
  • Camp fires are permitted in the fire rings provided, except when fire prohibitions or fire bans are in place. Bring your own clean-cut firewood. Fuel stoves are recommended.

  • Broadwater Waterhole camping area is surrounded by mulga and gidgee woodlands.
