On Cape York Peninsula, about 7hrs drive (550km) north of Cairns

What's special

Queensland's second jointly-managed national park (Cape York Peninsula Aboriginal land) protects the McIlwraith range and features spectacular escarpments, gorges, waterfalls and forests.

There is currently no vehicle access or visitor facilities and access to the Massey River Area (PDF, 232K) is prohibited to protect significant cultural resources.
