Woody Island (Tooliewah)
Woody Island's (Tooliewah) rocky foreshores, open forests and fringing mangroves are home to a great variety of birds. Its twin lighthouses (built in 1866), and associated buildings, are heritage listed for their contribution to the maritime, and European settlement, history of the Maryborough – Hervey Bay area. A small undeveloped, vessel-access-only, bush-camping area is located at Jeffries Beach on the island's south. It's a great base from which you can explore the island.
Little Woody Island (Walangoora)
Little Woody Island, known to the Butchulla people as Walangoora, is a small-island landscape with high conservation value that supports a huge variety of bird and marine life. There's a rich shorebird feeding and roosting habitat near a rocky reef to the south and sandy flats to the north.
Camping is not permitted on Little Woody Island (Walangoora) because of its high conservation value.
Fishing is not permitted in the high conservation, Marine National Park green zone next to Little Woody Island (Walangoora).
