Features: separate shady camp sites in open woodland on the banks of the Herbert River. Sites are approximately 15m x 15m in size and about 1km apart.
Location: on the southern bank of the Herbert River, about 4km from the top of the Herbert River Falls.
Maps:
Access: the camping area can be reached by 4WD only. It is accessible for off-road caravans and camper trailers.
Boat access: no access provided but canoes and kayaks can be launched from the bank.
Number of sites: two numbered sites. A maximum of 12 people are permitted per site.
Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car and camper trailers.
Camp site surface: grass.
Facilities: none.
Open fires: allowed in existing fire pits (except when fire bans apply).
Generator use: permitted between 9.00am and 12.00 noon and only if the noise level is less than 55 dB(A) measured at a distance of 7m from the generator.
