Halfway between Cairns and Townsville, this a perfect spot to break the drive with a picnic.

Attraction facilities

  • Wood-fired barbecue (BYO wood)
  • Picnic tables

Tables are provided in the day-use area. There are wood barbeques, but firewood is not provided and it must not be collected from the national park. Multiple small waterholes spread out along the Murray River make this a great place to swim, but there are no changing rooms. Toilets are provided at the camping area.
