So great to have Fleay's open again! Lovely morning to stroll about at a comfortable pace with 3yo. Lots of interesting animals to see, and we got to listen to the waterbirds talk today which was very interesting and we'll presented

Just loved this place when we went in December 2019. Such a personal experience because there was hardly anyone there. We had an almost private turtle and info feeding session, emu feeding, a possum and owl show, and so much more. Go here rather than the other bigger centers as this will not disappoint. It is small and can be covered in a few hours so is ideal for a short trip or a family with little kids with a short attention or anyone that wants to avoid crowds. There is a little cafe with limited food options, the only GF item I could find was a chocolate cake slice.

Fantastic day out! Great native animals, well looked after and very natural habitats. Worth checking out.

Great small wildlife park with well looked after animals. Talks are great and staff friendly and helpful. Food isn't great but plenty of benches for a picnic. Best to see the platypus with as few people there as you can manage. He doesn't do the 10.30 event!

Transcript for David Fleay Wildlife Park video

Ranger 1: Hi. Welcome to David Fleay Wildlife Park. I’m Jacki Steel and I’m the Ranger-in-Charge here.

Ranger 2: He’s a boy. Very much a boy.

Ranger 1: David Fleay Wildlife Park is a fantastic place for parents to bring their children. It’s nice and quiet. We have educational programs throughout the day that ah, that kids can get up close and personal with and believe that it’s really important to let people know about these different species that you wouldn’t find out in the wild and in our national parks so I particularly enjoy letting people know what species they will find.

Child: Um, my favourite animal here would be the crocodile because they’re really big and they eat a lot of things.

Ranger 3: How’s that good? Yummy. I can see you’re shivering with excitement. She’s very food orientated. Um, her Mum’s up the enclosure, the next one up. She’s more people orientated than than what Pearl is. Yeh, good girl.

Child: Yeh it was an awesome place. I love it here.
