Camping area features: a grassy and sunny clearing in the rainforest.
Location: 8.1km from the Forestry Road car park.
Access: the camping area can only be reached on foot or by mountain bike.
Number of sites: open area without separately defined sites.
Camp sites are suitable for: walk and bike-in camping only.
Camp site surface: dirt, grass.
Facilities: tank water (treat before drinking), picnic tables, pit toilets and lockable trunks to keep your food and gear safe from wildlife.
Open fires: prohibited. Fuel stoves are recommended.
Generators: not allowed.
Essentials to bring: rubbish bags, insect repellent, toilet paper. Read more about before you visit.

Mobile phone coverage: none at this camping area. Occasional network coverage can be obtained at elevated points along the trail between Hayward lookout and Airlie Beach.
