Drop into the Mount Moffatt visitor information hut for tips on tackling your 4WD adventure. Aptly named the ‘Roof of Queensland’, on this drive (18km one way from the Mount Moffatt circuit drive intersection) you'll enjoy panoramic views across the landscape. The Kenniff drive (4km one way from a turn-off on the High Country drive) traverses country that was a well-known haunt for two notorious bushrangers, the Kenniff brothers, and is steeped in adventure, tragedy and intrigue.

Along the way, take a break at the Top Shelter Shed, with its spectacular views to the cliffs of Buckland Tablelands. Travel through the rich mahogany forest, home of giant stringybarks. Your journey ends at the head of Carnarvon Creek. Spend the night at the Rotary Shelter Shed camping area before the return trip.
