Camping in Lawn Hill Gorge

There is one camping area at Lawn Hill Gorge in Boodjamulla National Park (Aboriginal Land), with separate areas suitable for tent or trailer camping.

Camping is also offered near the Riversleigh World Heritage Area at Miyumba camping area, adjacent to the Gregory River approximately 55km south-east of Lawn Hill Gorge.

Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your camp site.

Park-specific conditions

All bookings for camp sites must be made prior to visiting the park and well in advance during the Queensland School Holidays and peak season (April to October).

Rubbish facilities are not provided in the park. Please take your rubbish with you when you leave.
