Camping in Blackbraes

Bush camping is available at Emu Swamp and Moonstone Hill camping area. Refer to Blackbraes National Park map (PDF, 81.4KB) .

Camping permits are required and fees apply. A tag with your booking number must be displayed at your camp site.

Park-specific conditions

  • The camping areas may be closed during the wet season, usually from November to March, when conditions make camping areas inaccessible. See park alerts for up-to-date information.
  • Camp fires are permitted in the fire rings provided, except when fire prohibitions or fire bans are in place. Bring clean pest free firewood such as untreated, mill off-cuts. Collecting firewood from the national park is prohibited. Fuel stoves are recommended.
  • Fossicking in the national park is not permitted.
