Camping in Benarkin
Benarkin State Forest has two camping areas: Clancys and Emu Creek. Both are open areas beside Emu Creek (a tributary of the Brisbane River) and cater for a range of camping experiences from tents to caravans and motorhomes.
Camping permits are required and fees apply. Permits must be obtained before setting up camp. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your campsite.
Park-specific conditions
- Maximum length of stay is 14 nights.
- Dogs are allowed overnight in Clancys camping area provided they are under control and restrained on a leash at all times.
- Supervise children closely—Emu Creek flows nearby both camping areas.
Emu Creek may rise suddenly without warning.
