Planned upgrade - Green Mountains Camping Area

Applies 21 April to 29 June 2020

This alert applies to the following parks:

The Green Mountains Camping Area (near O'Reilly) at Green Mountains section of Lamington National Park will be temporarily closed while revitalisation works are carried out as part of the Green Mountains Camping Area Ecotourism Revitalisation Project

The following areas will be temporarily closed and will reopen later in 2020:

  • Green Mountains camping area - campervan sites;
  • Green Mountains camping area - tent sites; and
  • Gold Coast Hinterland Great Walk - Walkers' camp at Green Mountains

While construction works are being completed at the site, all visitors and personnel must observe all signs, barriers and directions for the consrtruction site.

No unauthorised persons, including commercial tour operators and other permit or agreement holders, are permitted to enter closed areas.

Please note: Access to Green Mountains section is via Canungra along Lamington National Park Road ONLY. There is NO access along Duck Creek Road, as it remains closed unitl further notice.
