Pest management control program for West Cooroy Conservation Park

This alert applies to the following park:

  • West Cooroy Conservation ParkSunshine Coast

Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) will be conducting a pest management control program at West Cooroy Conservation Park from 24 April 2024 to 17 May 2024 (weather permitting) as part of the conservation management program for the park and in partnership with Noosa Council.

All control activities are conducted in accordance with the approved pest management plan which helps to protect native wildlife from the harmful effects of introduced animals. The control method includes the use of meat baits with Sodium fluoroacetate (1080) vertebrate poison.

As a result, the following areas are temporarily closed for the duration of the pest management program:

  • Signed fire breaks within West Cooroy Conservation Park

Please observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers and do not enter closed areas.
