This alert applies to the following park:

Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service will be upgrading the national park walking track linking Horseshoe Bay, Balding Bay, and Radical Bay.

The walking track from Horseshoe Bay to Radical Bay, including the Balding Bay track will be CLOSED to all park users from 13 May to 31 August. This is necessary to ensure safety during construction and reduce additional impacts outside of the walking track corridor.

  • Visitor access to Balding Bay by vessel will remain open.
  • Visitor access to Radical Bay from the Forts Junction (routes 1 & 2) will remain open.
