The Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) will be conducting a series of planned burns within Barron Gorge National Park between Wednesday 23 August through to mid-October 2023. This will include sections of open forest and rocky pavements around the Smith track and Glacier Rock (Bunda Bulurru) region. During these periods track closures may be enforced for the safety of walkers.
