Mt Beerwah Section of Glass House Mountains National Park is temporarily closed.

The temporary closure will allow for cultural healing and reparations following vandalism on the Mountain.

Mt Beerwah is of very high cultural significance to the Jinibara - the Traditional Owners.

The closure will allow the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service to undertake investigations in relation to possible offences under the Nature Conservation Act 1992.

The closure will be in place until further notice.

Alternative hiking and rock scrambling tracks are available at Mount Ngungun and the Yul-yan-man track at Mount Beerburrum.
