This alert applies to the following park:

As a result of erosion, affecting access, Camp Zone 9 (Carree and Diray) is temporarily closed until declared safe. QPWS rangers will continue to monitor conditions and will reopen when safe. Observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers, and do not enter closed areas.

Alternate facilities are available at Duling, Ocean Lake and Marloo camping areas.

Closed areas:

  • Zone 9 – Diray
  • Zone 9 - Carree

All permits for closed areas are suspended for the duration of the closure. Apply for a camping permit refund online at www.qld.gov.au/camping. Log into your account and cancel your booking up to two days before your booking commences to receive an automatic refund or alternatively apply for a refund.
