This alert applies to the following park:

The Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) is upgrading visitor facilities in The Palms National Park.

A major infrastructure upgrade to The Palms Circuit walking track is being undertaken, requiring full closure of The Palms National Park for the duration of construction works. 

Rangers anticipate this project being completed by the end of June 2023. 

During the closure period, all areas within The Palms National Park will be closed to public access, including:

  • Car park
  • Picnic and day use area
  • The Palms Circuit walking track

Please visit this park's page on the department's website for alternative nearby park attractions and experiences.

Please observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers and do not enter closed areas.

Facilities will reopen when construction is completed.
