Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) will be conducting planned burning from April through to late August 2023 in the Moreton Bay area, as part of the annual hazard reduction and conservation management burn program for parks and forests, weather permitting.
These planned burns are aim to help protect life and property in the event of a wildfire and are vital to the ecology of these forests.
Additional Park Alerts will be posted prior to burns commencing and provide details of any park specific closures and areas likely to be impacted by smoke.
