This alert applies to the following park:
- Salvator Rosa, Carnarvon National ParkCapricorn; Outback Queensland
As a result of heavy rain affecting road conditions, Salvator Rosa section, Carnarvon National Park is closed up to and including Sunday, 29th January.
The closure includes all access roads, walking tracks, day-use areas and the Nogoa River camping area.
Permits for the Nogoa River camping area are suspended for the duration of the closure. Refunds can be applied for via your online account at qld.gov.au/camping or by contacting camping support at qpws@des.qld.gov.au.
Please monitor park alerts on the department's website for updated information.
Please observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers and do not enter closed areas.
