This alert applies to the following park:
- Blackdown Tableland National ParkCapricorn
The unsealed section of the Main Tableland Road, from Yaddamen Dhina (Horseshoe lookout) to Gudda Gumoo (Rainbow Falls) has been impacted by severe weather events. Due to damage caused to crossings, drainage, and the road surface it is now recommended that 4WD vehicles only be used beyond Yaddamen Dhina, where the bitumen road terminates.
Following rain events, the access road to Gudda Gumoo becomes slippery and unsafe, even for 4WD vehicles. The road beyond Munall camping area may be temporarily closed following rain events to allow the road to dry out for safe public access. This means that Gudda Gumoo and the 4WD Loop Road will be inaccessible during these times.
For your safety please proceed with caution along all park access roads.
For your safety please slow down and observe all directions and signs.
Please observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers and do not enter closed areas.
